Rural and Underserved Primary Care Early Admissions Program
Bachelor of Science from the OSU College of Arts and Sciences 3+1 Program
The Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (OSU-COM) seeks to admit students who desire to become primary care physicians in rural and underserved Oklahoma. The Rural and Underserved Primary Care Early Admissions Program allows students to complete pre-doctoral medical training in seven years.
OSU-COM and the selection committee recognize that the Oklahoma State University College of Arts and Sciences provides rigorous academic preparation for a variety of careers. Utilizing a preset pre-medical curriculum for each course for the first three years on the Stillwater campus, and combined with the OSU-COM first year curriculum as their fourth year, students will earn a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree from OSU.
The students then progress through the second, third and fourth years of the rural and underserved medical track to graduate with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
