TULSA-Oklahoma State University Physicians Obstetrics and Gynecology Department will offer health consultations and free 3D ultrasounds demonstrations at the Tulsa Women’s Living Expo, Feb. 10-12 at Expo Square.
“Providing access to health care is a primary mission of OSU Physicians,” said Lori Gore-Green, D.O., clinical associate professor for OSU Physicians Obstetrics and Gynecology. “The Tulsa Women’s Living Expo provides an opportunity to connect with women in the community to showcase the types of services available to maintain the health of mothers and their babies.”
OSU Physicians, part of the OSU Center for Health Sciences, offer several community-based Tulsa clinics that serve as a teaching model for OSU medical students. The clinics offer services from family medicine to specialty care.
OSU physicians will be on site to answer questions and provide information for women and expectant mothers at a booth near the main stage in the Health Pavilion, located by the OSU Mobile TeleHealth Clinic.
OSU physician Joseph Johnson, D.O., will take part in an “Ask the Doctor” session about cervical cancer prevention at noon on Saturday, Feb. 11. Dr. Pete, OSU Center for Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine mascot, also will be at the booth from 1-3 p.m. on Feb. 11.
Expo hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. For more information, visit www.womenslivingexpo.com/Tulsa2012.
