Health Care for Rural Oklahoma

With the state facing a critical physician shortage, the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine's mission to train physicians for rural and underserved Oklahoma is vitally important. By targeting rural high school students, creating specialized early admissions programs, developing a rural medical education track and adding new medical residency programs at rural hospitals, OSU-COM is expanding access to care in rural Oklahoma.

Promoting Medical Careers at the Oklahoma State FFA Convention

OSU-CHS provost Dr. Kayse Shrum attended the Future Farmers of America State Convention to introduce students to the benefits of being a medical doctor in rural Oklahoma and encourage students to consider careers in medicine.
