Grogg receives Tulsa Osteopathic Medical Society community service award
The Tulsa Osteopathic Medical Society recently presented the 2013 Osteopathic Community Service Award to Stanley E. Grogg, D.O., associate dean of clinical research at OSU-CHS. The award was established to honor physicians who make volunteerism and community service a way of life.
Grogg is an active volunteer on the local, national and international level. He has been involved in the Rainbow House Crisis Nursery, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Community Service Council of Greater Tulsa, Special Olympics, American Lung Association and Oklahoma Interagency Child Abuse Prevention.
In addition to his faculty role at OSU-CHS, Grogg is the medical director of service learning. He serves on the DOCARE International board of trustees and has lead medical outreach missions to Mexico, Guatemala, Haiti, South Sudan, Uganda and Nicaragua. He recently returned from Nicaragua and plans to visit Guatemala, Nicaragua and Uganda this year.
