Enrollment open for Cowboys Get Healthy, Get Fit program

Get Healthy, Get FitPrevious participants of the Cowboys Get Healthy, Get Fit program walk together through Centennial Green in downtown Tulsa.

The Cowboys Get Healthy, Get Fit program has begun enrolling new families for the 10-week wellness program that starts Thursday, May 15 at the Whiteside Community Center, 4009 S. Pittsburg Ave. Participants meet Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The program assists families with children between ages 10-16 with developing healthy eating habits and increasing physical activity.  As part of the program, participants are also encouraged to run in the Firecracker 5K on July 4.

Cowboys Get Healthy, Get Fit is a partnership between the OSU-CHS Family Health and Nutrition Clinic, OSU Cooperative Extension Service and Tulsa Parks. For more information, contact Jade Goodson, program coordinator, at 918-382-3100.
