Event to honor Bingman, Senate members for OSUMC support
OSU Center for Health Sciences and OSU Medical Center will show their appreciation to President Pro Tempore Brian Bingman and the Senate for their support of the teaching hospital during an event on Oct. 21 at 1:30 p.m. in the OSU Medical Center Auditorium.
In May, the Oklahoma Legislature provided $13 million in funding for the medical center as part of the state budget. This support enables OSU-CHS and OSUMC to continue to train physicians and care for the underserved in Oklahoma.
Bingman was elected to the Oklahoma State Senate in 2006 after serving in the Oklahoma House of Representatives for two years. He was mayor of Sapulpa before he was elected to the Oklahoma Legislature. Bingman was selected President Pro Tempore of the Senate in 2011.
During the event, students will recognize Bingman and members of the Senate for their support. The event is open to OSU-CHS students, residents, faculty and staff. If you plan to attend, RSVP by Friday, Oct. 18 at noon by calling 918-594-8291.
