OSU TeleHealth is capable of transmitting voice, video, text, data and images anywhere in the world. TeleHealth utilizes various digital networks for bandwidth. TeleHealth's local area network and connections to OneNet provide 100MBS of bandwidth. This allows maximum bandwidth to support local video and sufficient bandwidth to accomodate interactive multi-casts to/from multiple locations.
The OneNet Network is Oklahoma's public digital network that serves education, government and healthcare institutions.
The Abilene/Internet 2 networks are very high-speed backbones restricted solely to higher education research institutions. OneNet is one of 25 major connecting points for Abilene/Internet 2. This allows the OSU TeleHealth direct access to Internet 2 capabilities.
